The wine industry, the enjoyment of wine and wine collecting have seen major growth and change in recent decades, however, basic systems for storing and organizing large collections have not.  Collectors still build cellars based on the individual cubicles that hold single curved “features” in much the same way as they have since the turn of the last century.  The system designed by Wine Cellar Visions takes a fundamentally new approach that creates a much more intuitive, functional and collector-friendly way to store, organize and display valuable wine collections.

The basic design principal of the product is the incorporation of sliding drawers instead of stationary cubicles and slots for the wine.  This slide-out capability in combination with doweled drawer construction, allows for much greater access, organizational flexibility and visibility of the collection.  Instead of seeing the necks of the bottles, you can actually see the bottles and read the labels.  The doweled construction makes it possible to store bottles bottom-out instead of neck-out, which makes finding a specific bottle or vintage much easier than handling all of the bottles or looking on a small wine tag (if you remembered to make one).  Simply slide out the drawer, and you can see the full label of each and every bottle of wine, even the ones above your head.

Each drawer can accommodate 375 ml bottles, 750ml bottles or 1500ml bottles in any combination. 

There are case sized drawers that accommodate any size Original Wooden Case or shipping case.

The “see through” dowel construction makes it possible to orient the bottle labels facing downward so they can be seen when the drawers are over head and easily read from below.

The drawers can also be oriented to hold the bottles sideways instead of end-in, which allows for the ultimate visibility of your wine.  With this approach the collector can visually scan the collection and quickly identify the appropriate selection. 

The deep-shelf units, allows for significantly greater storage density without sacrificing accessibility, as is the case with double stacking in traditional racking systems.

The Lazy Susan Corner Unit is a first for the industry.  These corner units can fit underneath a counter or in a free-standing cabinet. They create visual interest and truly enhanced functionality.  They can accommodate from 12-18 bottles per tier and they capture wasted space and add a “cool factor” to the cellar.

We also feature angled drawers to increase visibility with a dramatic visual effect, while still keeping the wine in contact with the cork. This 15-degree angle allows you to showcase trophy wines as the entire bottle is visible.
